Sesame's Story
Sesame is a friendly, charming little guy who is eager to be friends and find his new human! He was found as a stray in California and landed in an outdoor shelter there. They reached out for help and we eagerly brought him to Agave Dogs Rescue.

- 6.7 pounds but needs to gain about 1 pound, he is a little skinny. Nothing that some good food won't fix.

- Approximately 1 year old

- Our best guess on breed mix is Maltese/Toy Poodle. This boy is an absolute doll!

- Very cuddly and attentive to his person

- Good for car rides

- Does well with other dogs and cats

- Kids ages 10+ years old if there are children in the home. He tolerated being fostered with a 3 year old child for a week but did growl and avoid the child. He will absolutely give space to avoid kids if he is uncomfortable.

- Would love to sleep in bed with you and cuddle on the couch

- Good for car rides

- Has done well in a crate but may be a little worried in a crate initially. But he does settle.

- Just neutered on 3/25/26 which is helping to calm down some marking we initially saw in foster. This should get better but he will need supervision and regular, frequent potty breaks to continue dialing in his potty habits. This does get better as he settles into a new home and figures out the routine.

Sesame is vaccinated, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, dewormed and current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. His adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at one of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Portland or Tualatin.

$450 adoption fee

Fostered in Hillsboro, Oregon

APPLY TO ADOPT SESAME ON OUR WEBSITE: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG
