Sergeant's Story

Meet Sergeant

Hidey hoeeee neighbors! My name is Sergeant and I am a smooth guy with a deep black saddle and stunning blonde accents. I’m under 2 years old and 65 pounds.

Being a youngster, I do enjoy to chew on things because I am still puppyish so please be sure to scoot on down to the doggie store and get me Nyla bones, the cow hooves filled bones, etc.

When I was first rescued from the shelter, I was skinny skinny. Foster Mom has been trying to fatten me up, but I’ll likely always be athletic build and svelte. Because I’m super high energy and burn it all off.

Due to the aforementioned energy, a BIG yard is a must on my ideal home list. Are you a runner or avid Walker and need a motivating coach? Put me in coach, I’m tired of being on the bench.

I get along with most dogs and Rodney, a stable male, was a guy I looked up to. I get along with all the girl dogs. So far there were 2 dogs that I did not enjoy meeting and they were anxious dogs. I just don’t need any anxiety rubbing off on me, life should be a breeze, calm down fellas.

I haven’t shown interest in toys. I am too busy running around the yard. Foster Mom says she thinks my energy would be put to good use by exercising my brain, not just my hunky body. I would be a good student for training.

Foster Mom did her best taking photos of me, but sitting still is not in my vocab, so they are all action shots!

Quick Stats:
-One to one and a half years old
-About 65 lbs
-Neutered male
-Heartworm negative and on prevention
-House and crate trained
-Current on vaccinations
-Micro chipped
-Good with most other dogs
-Good with people
-Not tested with cats or children
-High energy, athletic

Fostered in Round Rock

Link to Application:
http://www.gsdrescuectx.com/adoption-application.html
