Serena's Story

A solid senior with plenty of life left

Serena is an older Lab-type girl who still has a lot of get-up-and-go. She's easy to handle, straightforward with people, and has that familiar "big dog, big feelings about walks" energy--meaning yes, she pulls hard on leash, but otherwise comes across as a pretty typical, people-friendly dog.

Outside the kennel, Serena seems simple and manageable. Inside the kennel, she can get worked up when other dogs pass by, which is pretty common in a loud shelter setting. The bigger picture here is a senior dog who still seems active, sturdy, and ready to get out of the building.

She's also dealing with some chronic ear issues and has a few masses that should be monitored, so her future adopter should be prepared to stay on top of her care and follow up with a veterinarian. If you like older dogs and don't mind a strong girl on leash, Serena looks like a good one to meet.We are open to the public Tuesday - Sunday (1PM - 5PM)! No Appointments required!
