Serena's Story
Meet Serena

9 years old and proudly serving as the self-appointed Neighborhood Gossip Hotline. If something happens within a three house radius, Serena will not only notice, she will report it, with enthusiasm. Possibly with follow up commentary.

She's house trained, brilliantly smart, and has a command list longer than most peoples resumes: sit, down, shake, and speak (her signature skill). She walks okay on leash, and when something exciting pops up a squirrel, a breeze, a rumor she adds a little burst of energy that reminds you she's still got plenty of spark. She's sweet, she's snuggly and is just looking for her new best friend!

Serena is entering her slow life era, which means she's ready for cozy naps, gentle strolls, and a soft bed where she can rest between important neighborhood announcements. She may not be the traditional beauty queen, but she has something better: Presence. Personality. A voice. Opinions.

If you've ever wanted a dog who doubles as entertainment, companionship, and local news coverage, Serena is ready to clock in.

Kids - We think Serena would do good with kids!

Cats - Serena should be okay with a proper slow introduction!

Other dogs - Serena is dog friendly and has been at our prison program and did wonderful!

**In Order to adopt an unspayed/unneutered dog from HSMC, you must live within an hour of the shelter. You will initially "Foster to Adopt" the dog and then the adoption will be finalized when they are brought back for their spay/neuter surgery. You will need to bring the dog back for vaccines and exams prior to their spay/neuter surgery**

Interested in meeting this diva?
