Serafina's Story

Hi I’m Serafina!! I’m a 5 month old pittie mix that will likely be on the larger side. North Paw Rescue was told that I'm part pittie, boxer, rottie, and husky! My foster mom calls me “Sera” for short, she thinks my name is just as pretty as me! I’m a cuddly love bug that always wants to be around her people.

I do great with all humans, kids and dogs, but appreciate dogs who greet politely. Meeting new dogs can make me nervous, but getting reassurance from my humans and introducing one dog at a time helps me understand that I’m safe with my new friends! Once I’ve had a few minutes to adjust, I’m ready to play - especially if there’s a dog around my size or a bigger boy for me to romp around with! I have not been cat tested and I do like to chase squirrels.

I love to play and be mischievous with laundry piles. If it’s on the ground it’s fair game, and I do love games! That being said, I take redirection well and I’m a very smart food motivated girl! I also have great recall and come right back to my people when I’m called. Given my curious and playful side, I stay in my crate at night or when my foster mama isn’t nearby to supervise. One day, I’d love to snuggle in someone’s bed all night instead!

I’m doing better and better at potty training, but still have some work to do there. I get pretty scared of loud noises outside so I like to be out with supervision. My foster family is working hard teaching me all of the normal puppy things, but I’d love to find a family to call my own to continue learning with. I’m the sweetest and prettiest girl and I’d love a family with lots of time to dedicate to my training so I can become a wonderful adult doggo.

Ideally, I think a family with older children who are able to be super patient and appropriate with me, and patient animals who like to play nicely would be best to help me land successfully in my forever home. An adult-only home would be okay if they are prepared to stay active with me and keep me engaged!

Serafina's adoption fee is $600! This adoption fee includes: her alter, a microchip, her rabies, bordetella, and age appropriate DAPP vaccines, flea/heartworm preventative, and a deworming treatment while in foster care.

If you think she may be perfect for you, please apply using the link below!

https://www.cognitoforms.com/NorthPawRescue/NorthPawRescueDogAdoptionApplication

**Unfortunately, we cannot adopt out to Canada at this time.

**We require a 60 minute adoption radius. This dog is currently being fostered in Rochester, NY.
