Sellma's Story
Now Accepting Adoption Applications!

Gender: Female
Breed: Shepherd X

About Selma:
Selma is a high-energy young Shepherd X who has come a long way with the help of our staff and volunteers. She previously spent time in foster and was returned to us due to some behavioral challenges. Since coming back to the shelter, she has made huge progress, but the constant comings and goings of shelter life can be stressful for her, and we feel she is finally ready to find a home of her own!

Selma can be hesitant when meeting new people and will need a family who is willing to give her time to warm up and build trust. Once comfortable, she is a goofy, affectionate girl who absolutely LOVES belly rubs and water (especially laying right in the middle of a good mud puddle!)

She is also still working on puppy basics, including leash skills and manners, so her future family should be prepared to continue her training using positive, force-free methods.

With her energy, enthusiasm, and love of learning, (and treats!!) Selma could be an excellent candidate for dog sports or other fun activities that give her both physical and mental stimulation.

Selma would prefer to be the only dog in the home and would be best suited to a home without younger children due to her high energy and excitable nature. She has so much potential and is looking for someone patient, active, and committed to helping her continue becoming the wonderful dog we know she can be.

Adoption Fee: $550
Includes microchip, spay/neuter, flea & tick treatment, all vaccines, and deworming.

Please note: We adopt to force-free homes only. Selmas future family must be committed to continuing positive, force-free training methods.

Apply here:
https://docs.google.com/.../1FAIpQLSe4dRmoB0mwnB.../viewform
