Selena 2260's Story
Hi! I'm Selena.

I'm an 8-month-old Lab mix, approximately 50 pounds, and according to my foster family, I have the perfect combination of looks, brains, and puppy shenanigans.

Personally, I think that's a pretty accurate description.

I'm still young, which means life is very exciting. Walks? Amazing. Toys? Amazing. Other dogs? Amazing. Belly rubs? Absolutely incredible.

One of my favorite things is turning into what my foster family calls a "puppy puddle." The moment you start petting me, I melt. Belly up. Legs flopped over. Completely incapable of resisting affection.

It's a gift, really.

I'm already potty trained, kennel trained, and I sleep through the night like a champ. I know "sit," I'm learning "down," and I love learning new things. My foster family says I'm smart, and I have to admit, I enjoy showing off a little.

I also have a very important job. Protecting my people from suspicious things.

For example:

Trash bags sitting at the curb? Extremely suspicious.
Printers? Definitely questionable.
Strange noises? Worth investigating.
You're welcome.

Like many young dogs, I occasionally suffer from a condition known as Slipper-itis. It's a very serious puppy disorder that causes slippers to mysteriously end up in my possession. Fortunately, I'm highly treatable with toys, training, and supervision.

Speaking of toys, I love them. Tug toys are especially fun, and I could happily spend hours playing with my people. I'd also love a backyard where I can chase squirrels, zoom around, and stretch my legs.

I get along well with dogs and kids, and I'm always ready to make a new friend. Cats are still a mystery to me, so we'll need to figure that one out together.

My dream home is an active family that wants a dog to join in on life's adventures. I'd love people who enjoy walks, hikes, running, playing, training, and spending time together. I have the energy to be your adventure buddy, but after a fun day, I'm more than happy to curl up beside you for cuddles.

I'm still growing up, which means I'm looking for a family who will continue teaching me all the things a good dog should know.

The good news? I love learning.
The better news? I love my people even more. So if you're looking for a sweet, smart, playful best friend who will keep you laughing, steal your heart, and occasionally attempt to steal your slippers, I think we should meet.

Love,
Selena
