Sebastian

<p>Sebastian is a mini Dachshund around 3 years old.&nbsp; In May 2012 he was hit by a car.&nbsp; His owners took him to the vet, but decided they could not afford the surgery to fix his back.</p><br/><p>Because is has been 6 months since the original injury, Sebastian is no longer a good surgical candidate for his herniated disc.&nbsp; Instead he will use a wheelchair to get around outside on his walks.&nbsp; He likes to run in the grass without the wheels though!!</p><br/><p>He gets around really well, wears a belly band in the house with a protection bag on his lower end or socks to prevent him from getting sores on his feet from dragging.</p><br/><p>He is a super super super sweet, loving, affectionate little man, who needs a home who will NEVER get angry at him for having accidents in the house, because he is now incontinent from the accident. &nbsp;It is evident that he has been reprimanded harshly in the past as he cowers and whines in fear at loud voices and stern correction, he is also handshy.</p><br/><p>All he needs is unconditional love - for the rest of his life... he listens very well, and his recall is excellent. &nbsp;All he wants is a warm lap to cuddle in as often as he can. &nbsp;He just LOVES cuddling!!</p><br/><p>He is good with dogs - in moderation.&nbsp; If he feels overwhelmed by too many dogs at one time, he panics and tries to protect himself.&nbsp; It is possible that the larger dogs at his previous home bullied him.&nbsp; He needs a home with no stairs - or someone who is always willing to carry him out to the yard.</p><br/><p>He does use his legs to stand and eat, and uses his legs ever so slightly to walk. He is so deserving of love, care, comfort.&nbsp; He is one of the sweetest little dudes I have ever met!</p><br/><p>He is neutered, vaccinated and comes with his very own doggie wheels.</p><br/><p>An adoption application and home visit is mandatory.&nbsp;</p>
