SEBASTIAN - D3619he's Story

Sebastian is one of those dogs that is hard to forget! He is such a sweet, loveable guy. He loves people and according to his fosters it's hard to think of anything he's not good at or, at least, tolerant of ... when they gave him his first bath, he politely stepped into the tub, stood for a shampoo & rinse, then stepped out of the tub. In amazement they said, "We didn't think a dog could actually do that!"

He has been very tolerant of his house buddy, a grouchy little Maltese that weighs about 6 lbs. Sebastian takes his grumbles with a passing nod and moves to a new location. They do well on walks and car rides together. Sebastian doesn't seem to have much curiosity about the kitties either. He's a live and let live kind of guy.

His owners were moving and could not take him with them. He has a lovely temperament, but they also did some training with him that he responds to very well. We haven't seen him interact with dogs closer to his size or larger but neighborhood dogs that he meets on walks have not provoked any inappropriate responses.

He is a quiet, easy boy to have around and will do well in an apartment with daily walks, but he would really love a yard of his own to snoot around in. We would like to find a home for him where people are around more often than not. He will easily wait a couple hours for his people to return home but he is such a lovely guy with so much to offer his family that having a home that will include him in daily activities would be the best fit. Sebastian is a treasure!
(Sebastian is getting his 'do done' tomorrow so watch for some updated pictures.)

Stats: Goldendoodle (heavy on the poodle hair genetics). Neutered male, treated for internal parasites, fleas and is vaccinated. He has a microchip which we register to the adopter. Age: almost 8 yrs. old. Weight: 54 lbs. Adoption fee: $400.00 (cash or credit card)

If interested in SEBASTIAN, please go to www.savingpetsoneatatime.org
to submit a dog adoption application.

Our pets are shown by appointment if the application reflects the desired home.

Thank you for considering a recue pet!
