Scruffy's Story

Scruffy is back--and better than ever ❤️
This handsome doodle boy was adopted over a year ago, but unfortunately made his way back to us. Why, you ask? Well, Scruffy wasn't the biggest fan of the vet and had a bit of a "big feelings on a leash" situation. Honestly...same, Scruffy. Same.
But here's the glow-up moment ✨
Scruffy has been putting in the WORK with our trainer, and we are so proud of him! He's made huge progress--he's now much more comfortable with his vet friends and has come a long way with his leash manners. Turns out, with a little guidance and a lot of patience, Scruffy is more than ready to be the best version of himself.
And at his core? He's always been a good boy. Scruffy absolutely loves people and has done well with other dogs. He's affectionate, sweet, and just wants a home where he can continue to thrive.
Now all he needs is a forever family who will appreciate how far he's come and continue cheering him on 💪
If you're looking for a dog who's already done the hard work and is ready to settle into home life, Scruffy is your guy. Come meet him Wednesday through Sunday from 11am-4pm--no appointment needed!Adoption Hours are Thursday through Sunday from noon to 5pm. You do not need an appointment to come by and meet animals during adoption hours.

Raskel's Rescue's Adoption Policy
Our main goal is to place animals in the right home to increase owner retention. For example, we would avoid placing a highly active dog into a sedentary home. Our application does not allow for anyone to apply for a specific animal, it is more of a questionnaire so that it has people think about what they are looking for. Such as an active dog vs a calm dog or a dog that needs grooming often vs a short haired dog. We just want to make the right match for your household.
