Hi there! My name is Scruffy, and I may be small but I am mighty in the love department! I’m around 10 years young and a petite 7.5 lbs — though I’m working on beefing up a little, and I’m already making progress! <br/><br/>I came to my foster home still healing up from a procedure to close a wound on my belly (I ended up in a local shelter with it), so I’ve been taking it easy — but every single day I’m feeling better and showing more of my sweet personality. I’m on antibiotics and pain meds for now, but I’m handling everything like a champ!<br/><br/>I’m what you might call a Velcro dog — I want to know where you are at ALL times, and my absolute favorite place in the world is right next to you. At your feet, in your arms, beside you on the couch — honestly, anywhere you are is perfect for me. I’ll even serenade you with a little howl if I can’t find you! Oh, and kisses? I give those out freely and often.<br/><br/>I do fine with cats as long as they’re not giants (long story), and I’m still warming up to other dogs — but my foster thinks I’ll blossom with the right patient pup family. I walk nicely on leash and my house manners get better every single day.
