Scrappy (OT25-231)'s Story
HIGHLIGHTS:

-Requires another confident dog established in home-

Meet Scrappy - A Gentle Soul Looking for Trust and Love

Scrappy is a 6-year-old Shih Tzu weighing 16.4 pounds, with a tender heart that just needs a little time and patience to shine. He's a bit skittish around people right now and can be nervous when being picked up, but beneath that caution is a dog who wants to feel safe and loved.

In group, Scrappy does wonderfully - he gets along well with other dogs and seems most comfortable when he's around calm canine friends. With their help (and yours!), he's learning that people can be kind and gentle.

Scrappy would do best in a quiet, patient home with someone who understands shy dogs and can give him the time he needs to build trust. With love and consistency, Scrappy is sure to blossom into a sweet and loyal companion.

----------
Before being rescued, many of our dogs had limited socialization, so they may need some time to adjust to life as a family pet. Older kids are often a great fit for our dogs, and homes with younger children will be considered based on each dog's individual needs. Skills like house training and leash walking may take a little extra patience and practice. However, with understanding and a gentle hand, most of these dogs adapt quite quickly. Being a part of their rehabilitation is a truly rewarding experience. To learn more about mill dogs and start the adoption process, visit our website!
