Scrappy Doo's Story

Scrappy Doo is a sweet boy, 60+ lbs. Intact, around 2-3 years old. He came to us with both ears infected and an infected eye. He's on the mend and vaccinated, with a neuter to be scheduled. Scrappy is a dream to walk on the leash and so far is very chill, mellow and laid back - we are still getting to know him - Unknown yet how he is with other dogs/kids/cats. Blue Island Stray Dog Project's Adoption Policy

We have potential adopters fill out an application (linked on PetFinder or please email Blueislandstrays@gmail.com). Once we get a potential adopters application, we process background checks, vet checks, and reference checks. We like to speak and get to know the adopter to ensure a good fit and set up the adopter and the dog for success! Once approved for adoption, we like to conduct home visits when possible, and if a potential adopter has another dog in the house, we make it mandatory for dog meets with the other dog; sometimes, more than once.
