Scrappy loves spending time with his people and is especially obsessed with butt rubs-once you find his favorite scratch spot, you'll have a friend for life!<br/><br/>Scrappy is house trained to go outside and is also crate trained, making him an easy addition to the right home. He has lived with teenagers and done well with them. While he isn't overly interested in other dogs, he's happiest soaking up attention from his humans. You'll be able to meet available dogs in the shelter.<br/>(Dogs in foster care are not available for in-person visits.)<br/><br/>#2- ADOPT REMOTELY OR PLACE A 24-HOUR HOLD**<br/>If you're ready to adopt without meeting the dog first, or you'd like to place a non-refundable $25 hold to reserve a dog for 24 hours, just call or email us: (413) 781-4000 x 1 springfield@dakinhumane.org. We are often helping other clients when you call, but we return voicemails and emails within 24 hours.<br/><br/>**Holds are not available for puppies under six months, on Saturdays, or during adoption events.<br/>--------------------------------------------<br/>All adult dog adoption fees include;<br/>-spay/neuter<br/>-rabies and kennel cough vaccinations<br/>- heartworm test<br/>-current parvo/distemper vaccines (may need additional boosters with your veterinarian)<br/>-microchip implanted & registered to adopter<br/>-treatment of fleas & ticks<br/>-veterinary exam and health certificate at Dakin<br/>-free vet exam within 30 days of adoption with participating veterinarians<br/>Most pets have also received other medical care while with us. Your veterinarian may recommend additional health care for your pet.
