Hi! My name is Scrappy. I am a 12 year old long haired Chihuahua, weighing in at 10lbs. <br/><br/>I ended up in a shelter with another doggie after my human passed away. Luckily we came to the rescue. I was in rough shape : skin allergies, bad teeth, and a bad heart. Luckily with great vet care and medications I’m doing amazing now!<br/><br/>I do have a heart murmur and an enlarged heart in the left side. Because of this, the vet doesn’t want me to go under anesthesia for a dental. I have started my heart meds, that I must stay on daily for the rest of my life, and I feel like a whole new boy! I love to run and play, wander around the yard, snooze in the sun, go on walks, but my most favorite thing is to snuggle my human!! I’m a lap boy! <br/><br/>I like other small calmer dogs and I like cats. But please no big doggies for me or kiddos. I’m looking for a calmer home to spend my golden years in. One where my human is home more than they are gone. Someone who wants a lap buddy. I do require a physically fenced in yard. I am potty trained. I don’t mind being kenneled but I really don’t need it, I’m a perfect boy when left out. <br/><br/>Scrappy is neutered, microchipped, up to date on vaccines, current on heartworm preventative (tested heartworm negative), current on flea/tick preventative, and recently had bloodwork and X-rays done.
