This treat-motivated superstar loves learning new things and truly shines when he has a job to do. Whether it’s long walks, agility courses, sniff work, or car rides, Scout is always ready for his next adventure. And after a day of fun? He’s more than happy to curl up on a cozy bed for a well-earned nap.<br/><br/>Scout is a very sweet dog who enjoys playing with other dogs outside of the home. However, when it comes to his castle, he prefers to have it all to himself and would do best as the only pet. He’s also looking for a home without children under 16, so he can feel safe, comfortable, and set up for success.<br/><br/>Scout will need multiple meet-and-greets to ensure a smooth transition into his new home. He is currently on anxiety medication, which he will need to continue, and he truly thrives with patient, understanding adopters who are willing to support his needs and cheer him on.<br/><br/>In return, Scout will give you unwavering loyalty, companionship, and a lifetime of love. If you are interested, please come in at your earliest availability during our open hours, no appointment necessary. We do same-day adoptions, do not hold dogs, and work on a first-come, first-served basis as long as it is an excellent fit for both parties. If you have questions or want to possibly schedule an appointment on one of our closed days, you may email dogs@adoptapetfenton.com.<br/><br/>Dog adoption fees include spay/neuter, rabies vaccine (if age-appropriate), distemper/parvo combination vaccine, leptospirosis vaccine (if age-appropriate), bordetella vaccine, deworming, heartworm test (if age appropriate), heartworm preventative, flea preventative, a dental cleaning (if necessary), and a microchip. Future vaccines, tests, and treatments will be the responsibility of the adopter.
