Scout's Story

My name is Scout! I am one of 7 in my beautiful and eclectic litter. My mama is a mix of what we think is Lab, Weimaraner and Staffordshire Terrier. My Dad? We aren't sure but my litter seems to appear a bit Lab, Australian Shepherd and maybe even Collie! I am about 4 months and about 20 lbs. I am one of the smallest in my litter so we expect that I will range from 40 to 50 lbs. I am a playful, fun and active puppy. I am goofy but also loyal and thoughtful. I am great with other dogs and love to romp and play. I LOVE toys and chew antlers, squeak the squeaky toys and run around free and happy to be in a foster home with lots of love and fun! I sleep through the night and crate well. That being said, I am very bouncy and happy when you come home! I am extremely food motivated and would do great with a person who could take advantage of my intelligence and absolute devotion to my humans. I am hesitant in the first moments when meeting new people; I am thoughtful and not in your face. Within a few hours of gentle pets and treats, I will be next to you on the couch. I have done puppy yoga with two large groups and I was curious, attentive and had all kinds of attention! I would love a family with a fenced in yard and one that can provide some patience, activity and lots of positive reinforcement as I learn the way of the world! Cats and kids are fine for me! I am located in NJ! Here is a link to the application: https://www.zivadogrescue.org/adoptable-dogs
