Scout's Story

We pulled Scout & her brother Finn from a small county shelter in Ohio. Scout is a very social puppy, who prefers to be around people or other dogs. She gets along with other dogs, and kids. She is around a cat & a house bunny in their foster home, and does extremely well with them both.

Kane's Mission - Dog Rescue's Adoption Policy
The potential adopter would fill out an application. We would contact them, and have an initial phone interview. The next steps are to set up the home inspection, and perform reference checks, as well as reach out to their veterinarian to make sure that their current or previous animals were all kept up on vaccinations, monthly flea/heartworm meds, and that they were well cared for, medically. After the home inspection, we would set up a meet and greet with them. Sometimes more than one meeting is necessary, especially if they have other animals. Once approved, they would fill out and sign the adoption contract, and pay the adoption fee, and we would then deliver the animal to them.
