Scout's Story

Scout and her 6 siblings were rescued on January 4 of 2025 as tiny day-old puppies. Unfortunately, the rescuer worked with another group who didn't do a whole lot to help and these kids have grown up to adulthood with the rescuer. Two of these kids have been adopted just recently and are doing well, but Scout and Jayden are still looking for a home to call their own.

Scout is a lab mix and looks very "labby". She gets along well with other dogs and honestly, would do best in a home with another dog who can show her how to be a normal dog. She is very shy and skittish. It's heartbreaking. She is good with her rescuer, but with others, she's just very nervous. She's looking for a home where she can have time to settle in and learn the ropes.

Scout currently weighs just over 40 pounds and she's a nice weight and has a good, stockier build. Scout's rescuer has made sure she received everything she needed, shots, spay, microchip, and heartworm preventative every month. Her coat is slick and shiny. She had a brother who had an almost identical personality and has truly blossomed in his new home and we are hoping the same for this girl.

If you would like to meet or adopt Scout, please start with our Adoption Application.
