Scout's Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.
Say hello to Scout!

Scout is a bright, happy, and affectionate little Pomsky who came into rescue with his sister after their previous owner could no longer care for them. He may be small, but he has a big personality and an even bigger heart.

Personality & Energy

Scout LOVES walks — truly loves them. The moment he sees a leash, he lights up with excited spins, happy bounces, and a whole lot of enthusiasm. He enjoys exploring, sniffing, and taking in the world around him, and he’d be thrilled to have an adopter who enjoys daily adventures.

His Husky side really shines in cold weather. Snow, chilly mornings, frosty air — Scout is in his element. A fenced yard is a bonus (not required), but adopters should know he sometimes likes to turn “coming inside” into a playful game.

Social Skills

Scout does well with:

Other dogs

Cats

People

Kids 12+ (he’s sweet but can be jumpy when excited)

He enjoys attention, loves booty scratches, and is happiest when he’s near his people. Once he settles in, he’ll curl up and relax — often arranging blankets so he can feel a cool breeze.

Training & Behavior

Scout rides nicely in the car and is treat‑motivated, which helps with training. He’s doing well with housetraining and has only had a few accidents — routine and consistency will help him finish polishing those skills. He was recently neutered, so a short adjustment period is expected.

Scout can be vocal when he’s excited or seeking attention, so apartment living may not be the best fit. A home where he can express his happy Pomsky voice comfortably would be ideal.

Who Scout Is Looking For

Scout will thrive with someone who:

Enjoys daily walks and outdoor activities

Appreciates an energetic, playful companion

Can provide structure, routine, and positive reinforcement

Doesn’t mind a little joyful chatter

If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate, winter‑loving buddy who brings joy to every day, Scout might be the perfect match for you.

Scout is now neutered, up to date with core vaccines, microchipped, dewormed and tested neg. for heartworm. He has also been professionally groomed! His adoption fee is $475

We require that a martingale collar be used at the time of adoption. If you do not have a martingale collar, you can purchase one from Pixie Mamas for an additional $10. This requirement is in place to ensure the dog's safety and security.
4/25/26 10:07 AM
