Scout's Story

This handsome gentleman is known as Scout, but were waiting to see if the name fits! Hes approximately 5 months old and 40 lbs. He, his mother, and sister were all found together in Wabaunsee County - Shepherd mix (maybe border collie, red heeler, super mutt)!

He just made it to his foster home and hes settling in well. He loves people and craves affection, but is timid with new encounters. All he wants in life right now is to cuddle. Hes been slow to warm up to the resident dogs. He gets overwhelmed easily so were taking introductions slow, brief, and playing the crate and rotate game.

Hes doing well with crate training and potty training. No accidents inside and while theres some initial protesting the crate, he settles down after a while and rests.

So far, hes been low energy and has little interest in toys, but this little guy has been living in survival mode and hasnt had much time to live a carefree puppy lifestyle. Already seeing progress from one day to the next. He loves food and gets excited for dinner time and treats! Bully sticks are the best!

At this time, hes not been tested with kids, small dogs, cats, or men.
