Our sweet Scout had to undergo emergency surgery for a herniated disc in his lower back. The surgery was successful and he is expected to make a full recovery but he will need "bed rest" for 4-6 weeks. He was also diagnosed with hypothyroidism and will need to be on medication to regulate his thyroid output. He will not be at Pet Supplies Plus while he is recuperating. <br/> That's the good news. The bad news is that the surgery and post-op care cost B.A.R.K. over $18,000. That's a huge bill for our little rescue. <br/>We are asking for donations to help us pay for his medical care. Scout must have originally lived in a home because he is neutered, microchipped and house trained. His favorite activity is to go for a walk around the neighborhood. He has wonderful manners and never pulls on his leash and loves everyone he meets.
