Scottie's Story

Meet Scottie

Scottie is a 20-pound, eight-year-old Miniature Schnauzer mix. He was surrendered to a veterinary office in Georgia to be euthanized when his previous family could no longer meet his medical needs. Thankfully, the veterinarian knew Scottie’s life didn’t have to end — with a few medications and proper care, he could continue living happily and comfortably.

Despite having a heart murmur and some vision impairment, Scottie hasn’t let anything dampen his sweet spirit. With consistent treatment, he’s doing great and enjoys his days just like any other pup. Even with limited vision, he gets around very well and follows his people like a little shadow.

Scottie is wonderful with other dogs and cats, quiet, and happiest when he’s curled up next to you for a cozy couch nap. He would thrive in a calm, loving home where he can relax and spend plenty of time by his human’s side.

If you’re looking for a sweet older companion who will reward you with loyalty and gentle affection, Scottie may be the perfect addition to your family. 🐾
