Hi, my name is 🛴Scooter!🛴 I am 2 to 3 yrs old & weigh about 45 lbs. I have a lot of really great things going for me:<br/>☑House trained<br/>☑Leash trained<br/>☑Shy, calm & gentle<br/>☑Great with children<br/>☑Gets along with all types of dogs<br/>☑Loves walks, runs, & car rides<br/>☑Calm & gentle out in public, at beer gardens, breweries, etc<br/>My foster mom says I'm a thinker, so I'm not the dog that runs up to you & jumps all over you, I'll stand quietly & sniff your hand when I'm ready. I'm less shy with kids, I seem to trust them more. There's been a bunch of different dogs at my foster home, & I have gotten along with every single one of them, I seem to sense what each dog is comfortable with & adjust myself to them.<br/>But my past wasn't great, & I'm still getting over that. I was adopted down in Texas, but became a stray again & was on the run for several months. I wouldn't let anyone catch me, & barked at people to stay away from me! I was in survival mode for a long time, but now that I have loving humans around me, I get really nervous when they leave me! My foster family is working on that, but I do need a calm & patient family that is willing to give me the time I need to realize that the people I love will always come back. I do best with another dog friend, when I was alone in my foster home I shrank back inside myself & lost all my progress.
