Scooter's Story

Hi, I'm Scooter! I'm a 3-year-old Chihuahua-Terrier blend who weighs 11 lbs. Sometimes I think my name is "Angel", though, or "Loving and Special Boy", because that's what everyone calls me. I'm looking for someone who wants a sweet, laidback, affectionate best friend forever.

Favorite Things: Above all, Scooter is an affectionate dog who loves his people. He enjoys following his person around and likes to sit next them on the couch. He loves sleeping under the covers at night.

Training & Manners: This happy little gentleman is great on walks and really enjoys them. He is a good passenger during car rides, is house trained, and is very well behaved when left alone at home. He's very quiet and only barks when other dogs in the house bark. He is so sweet and good with new people, doesn't seem to have any fears.

Health & Care: Scooter is a low maintenance sweetheart. He is a healthy dog who only requires his monthly flea and heartworm preventatives. He won't need much elaborate grooming, either, since he is a short-haired guy.

Other Animals: Scooter would do well as an only dog or with other dogs. He currently lives with two small dogs in his foster home and gets along well with them. He would probably get along with larger dogs, too. He also likes his foster home's resident cat but he is polite and doesn't bother his feline friend.

Children: Scooter hasn't been observed around children yet.

Ideal Home: Scooter can fit in just about anywhere-- whether a condo, apartment, or single-family home-- as long as he has a spot on the sofa to snuggle up next to you.

Overall: Has Scooter zipped into your heart? If so, visit www.PoodleandPoochRescue.org to fill out an adoption or foster application. If it seems like a good match, our team will reach out with more information. His adoption donation is $400.
