Schwinn's Story
Meet Schwinn! Schwinn is an almost 4 month old, male Shiba Inu (birthdate: 9/1/2021). He was born with a deformed right forelimb. It doesn't cause him any issues and he gets around fine. His real issue is he has a heart murmur. When he had his first cardiac ultrasound with Purdue they were very nervous about his heart. We put him on special medication and they rechecked him about 4 weeks later. We are happy to report that he is much better and no longer needs to be on the life-long medication. He does still have a thickened mitral valve and a ventral septal defect (although it is smaller than it was a month ago). The cardiologist believes that he will be able to live 10 years as long as he doesn't get an infection in his heart. Great news for Schwinn!

The adoption fee is $400. This includes the neuter, microchip, deworming and all core vaccines through puppyhood (as long as you return to us for vaccines).

If you are interested in adopting Schwinn, please e-mail adoptions@thelovepetproject.org with "Schwinn" in the subject. Please also tell us about yourself and your household.
