She's a 13 week old (DOB: 05/07/21) Shih Tzu mix who will weigh in between 8-12lbs when she grows up.<br/><br/>Scarlett loves to bounce around with her brother, and has recently discovered her passion for squeaky toys. She loves giving kisses and has made a name for herself as “resident toe licker” in her foster home. Scarlett has yet to be potty trained but uses puppy pads like a pro in the meantime. With a good routine and a little patience this #smart girl will have it down in no time!<br/><br/>Scarlett is #confident, #adventurous, and gets along with everyone she meets. She’s looking for an active family with an endless supply of squeaky toys, dental chews, and love to give. Sound like you? Scarlett just might be your girl! She's currently still working on pee pad training and crate training. Please understand that LAHP Dog Rescue does not allow puppies to go outdoors until 10 days after their 2nd round of DHLPP.<br/><br/>Scarlett came from a hoarding situation of 107 Shih Tzu's. She ended up being diagnosed with parvo at 4.5 weeks old and beat the impossible battle. She's now parvo negative and has had her first round of DHPP. We're so proud of her & she's now looking for her forever home.<br/><br/>Scarlett is up for adoption through Lending A Helping Paw Dog Rescue. Her adoption fee is $350 and will include her 1st round of Distemper, Parvo (DHPP), Bordetella, Deworming, Fecal Test & a Microchip. The puppies will be adopted out on a spay & neuter contract with a $100 refundable security deposit that will be reimbursed when they are fixed on or before the age of 6 months old.<br/><br/>We kindly ask that you please understand that our rescue family will NOT adopt out 2 puppies from the same litter due to sibling syndrome. <br/><br/>ADOPTION REQUIREMENTS: No Exceptions<br/>- Adopter Must Love Puppy Kisses <br/><br/>PLEASE READ THIS ENTIRE POST & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS<br/><br/>Located in Metro Detroit, Lending A Helping Paw Dog Rescue is a 100% Foster-Based Rescue that is run and operated by all Volunteers. Which means that we are not a shelter & that each animal is in an actual home with a foster family. Once you submit your adoption application, it may take up to 2 weeks for us to get back to you. So please be patient with us. <br/><br/>Please read the entire post to answer your questions. If you cannot follow the instructions properly, we will skip your application and move onto the next one. We kindly ask that you save any questions, comments or concerns for the phone interview. We kindly ask the following: No phone calls, No pm's, & No multiple emails- We are all volunteers and promise to get back to you within a timely fashion! <br/> <br/>Vet Checks:<br/>When adopting through our rescue, we 'ALWAYS' do a vet check on each applicant's pets that they have owned over the past 10 years. Please make sure to call your vet to grant them permission to release this information to our rescue. That being said, all of the animals in each applicant's home must be UTD on:<br/>DHPP(Distemper/Parvo), Lepto, Rabies, Yearly Heartworm Test, Yearly Fecal Test & must currently be on both Flea & Tick, as well as Heartworm Prevention. So please make sure that when you are applying that all of your current animals go to the vet that is listed. If there are multiple vets, please list them.<br/> <br/>How To Apply:<br/>If you're interested in adopting one of our available dogs:<br/>1. Email LendingaHelpingPaw313@gmail.com with the dogs name as the subject when you ask for the adoption application.<br/>2. Once you have completed the application, please print it out, fill it out, scan it, & then email it back to LendingAHelpingPaw313@gmail.com. If you do not have a scanner, please take a picture with your phone and we kindly ask that you sent all attachments into one single email.<br/>3. Please make sure to call your vet to grant our organization permission to do a vet check on your current pet.<br/>4. If you are interested in more than one dog, please list your top 3 choices on the completed application.<br/>5. Please be honest & truthful on your application. We always do a vet Check. We always do a home visit.
