Scarlett's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.

Meet Scarlett – A Sweetheart Ready for Her Forever Home

Scarlett is a sweet and gentle soul looking for her forever home. She is dog social and enjoys roughhousing with her American Bully foster brother. She would also do well as an only dog (with the occasional doggy playmates) since she loves quiet cuddles and adoration from her chosen human(s) after play and walks outside. She can really mellow out when she's relaxed and comfortable in her surroundings.

Scarlett has a tender heart and would do best with older children or teenagers who can give her the patience and gentle touch she deserves. At first, she may be a little shy, but her curiosity and bravery shine through
. Once she trusts you, Scarlett absolutely adores belly rubs and will happily roll over for some affection.

Scarlett is a bit of a mischievous puppy in a young adult's body. She is crate-trained and has been learning some manners (sit, wait, off (people or things), down (lie down), drop/leave it); she is very food motivated and extremely eager to please. She would really enjoy continuing to learn new skills/tricks. Scarlett walks nicely on leash (if a bit eager to get going at the start) and will even carry her tennis ball for the walk! She is learning to play fetch, too. It's all helping to build her confidence in new situations with new people. She could be a candidate for many dog sports with her eagerness to learn and fun spirit.

Some wonderful bonuses? Scarlett isn’t bothered by thunderstorms or fireworks, and she enjoys short truck rides. For longer drives, a little Dramamine or more practice helps her feel comfortable.

What Scarlett needs most is what every dog deserves: a safe space, gentle introductions, consistency, positive reinforcement, and, most importantly, love. In return, she’ll give her whole heart and become the most loyal, affectionate friend you could ask for.

If you’re looking for a sweet, smart, and spirited companion to share life’s adventures (and cuddles!) with, Scarlett is waiting to meet you.
