Hi, I'm Scampi! I'm about 1 year old, 29 lbs, and a mix of Australian Cattle Dog and Corgi. I was found as a pregnant stray and got to raise my puppies safely at the rescue, but now it's finally my turn to find a home. I'm still learning what it means to live in a typical home, so I can be a little shy and unsure at first. Sometimes I'll wag my tail and come up for attention, then pause like I'm not quite sure if I'm allowed to have fun yet. With patience and kindness, my sweet personality really starts to shine, and I'm learning more every day! I'm looking for a calm, adult-only home with someone who will go at my pace and help me keep building confidence. I'd love a friendly, confident dog to show me the ropes, and I'll need continued support with things like walking on leash and housetraining. Because I can get scared in new environments, I'll need a secure home and careful transitions (including going home in a crate), plus at least two meet-and-greets to make sure we're the right fit.
