Sawyer's Story

Fluffy? Yes! Friendly? Oh yeah! Fantabulously awesome? HE SURE IS. This is Sawyer. He is am 8-year-old teddy-bear-doppelganger who is about 81 pounds of silly, derpy goofball attitude. And when we tell you that he melts into love, he literally does! If you start petting Sawyer, he melts right into a belly rub! What we love most about him is that he believes he is a lap dog.

Sawyer has a sponsored adoption fee for an approved applicant, too! We are hoping that it can help balance future vet costs he may need. While we can't change the condition a pet comes to us in, we can only do our best to help them get better. Since Sawyer is heartworm positive, Lyme positive and has poor kidney function, it gives us even more motivation to help him find his home! We have already begun his heartworm treatment and we have him on a diet to hopefully help his kidney levels. We are looking for an adopter who will make sure Sawyer can visit the vet when needed. What will you get in return? We're glad you asked!

Since Sawyer's personality reminds us of a Marmaduke or Scooby Doo type of pup, you will be provided with endless smiles and unconditional love. He is the most likeable and lovable dog.

He will be available as a "foster-to-adopt" so he can complete his heartworm treatment. As with any dog with heartworms, he'll need to be leash-walked and have limited high-energy activity during his treatment. Depending on your resident dog, Sawyer may enjoy their company! Kiddos should be about 10ish and older for Sawyer.

Our days instantly brighten when we get to be with Sawyer. Sawyer is neutered so please come meet him. He has every characteristic that you would want in a new best friend. He's such a sweet, handsome hunk!
