Sawyer's Story
My name is Sawyer, and I'm 19 pounds of pure black lab joy! I'm three and a half months old, which means I'm in my prime. Mom nicknamed me Dovah, which means dragon. She thinks I am powerful and majestic (and she just likes video games!)

My brother is my favorite playmate. We love chasing sticks-the bigger, the better! Sometimes, I get so excited, my legs just can't keep up, and I tumble end over end. Pure bliss. If there's a stick being thrown, I *have* to be chasing it. We also love a good wrestle. Tackling my brother and playing tug-of-war is a classic. My tiny puppy teeth are perfect for gripping, though the humans sometimes sigh when I get a little too enthusiastic. They call it baby sharp teeth.

Exploring is my jam. The whole house is a giant adventure waiting to happen! I'm still figuring out what's a toy and what's... not. Those shoelaces are particularly fascinating. The humans seem to disagree. They have these special squeaky toys that are *way* more fun than my humans expensive shoes. Good to know for future reference.

When the playing is done, I love snuggles. Lap time is the ultimate reward. I still get a bit excited and want to jump up, but the humans are teaching me off and up. I'm a quick learner, especially when there's a yummy treat involved! They're training me with food, which is amazing, though I'm pretty sure I could eat the entire couch if given the chance.

The cat? She smells... interesting. She's always darting away when I get close. I'm not allowed to chase her yet, but one day, we'll play too. My foster mom says I should be good with little kids. I'm not assertive around my toys and they keep poking me to see if I can handle a toddlers prying hands. I pass with flying colors! For now, it's just me and the endless possibilities of this amazing, stick-filled world!

If you are interested in adopting, please go to our website at www.lolin.org and click on Adopt, Apply for a Dog.
