Savannah II's Story

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.ADOPTION PENDINGSavannah has a tail that never stops wagging and she absolutely loves people -- young and old. She enjoys cuddles almost as much as being outside chasing squirrels and lizards, barking at nightime opossums and racoons and generally being a beagle. Savannah would like her new home to have a fenced yard where she has freedoms to use her little nose to explore. She plays well with other dogs, once she has had a chance to get to know them a little. She likes to hide and nibble on her toys but does share well with the other dogs. House training is going great as she will let her foster dad know when she needs to go by pacing at the door or barking, but she does need a prompt response. At bedtime Savannah will sleep in her dog bed in the bedroom, but she totally prefers to snuggle with her foster dad in his bed so she can wake him up with kisses. When she is occasionally left alone she is crated and will bark for a while. Interestingly, she is not over the moon about food like most beagles. She will not eat plain dry kibble so her foster mixes in wet food, and she hasn't shown much interest in treats. Savannah is heartworm positive but will be treated very soon and will be ready for a sleepover the weekend of June 13th. She really has a lovely happy-go-lucky personality!
