Savannah's Story

Meet Savannah – A True Survivor 💪

Savannah (12 years old) is one of our long-time LoveyLoaves residents and has been patiently waiting for a forever home to call her own. She came to us in September 2019 with a bullet lodged in her spine—and a fiery, rowdy, feisty spirit that refused to be broken.

After surgery and countless hours of acupuncture, aqua treadmill therapy, and laser treatments, Savannah has made incredible progress. While the damage to her spine is permanent and she will never walk unassisted, these therapies have greatly increased her mobility, strength, and energy. Savannah is strong, active, and full of life.

Savannah is paralyzed in her back end and uses a mobility cart for play and exercise time—which she absolutely loves. She enjoys being outside, running, and playing, and she is friendly with other dogs.

Her ideal home is a women-only household with no children, where she can feel safe, understood, and secure. Savannah does require bladder expression, which is quick, clean, and easy to learn. Please don’t let this small routine deter you from opening your home to a special-needs dog—it becomes second nature and is a simple way to give Savannah the life she deserves.

Savannah has survived more than most dogs ever should, yet she remains spirited, loving, and full of heart. What she needs now is a hero—someone willing to open their heart and home to a remarkable girl who has already proven how strong she is.

Could you be Savannah’s forever person?
