Savannah's Story

Savannah was from a litter of 10 Bloodhound puppies in West Virginia whose owner died. They were born in a barn and kept in the yard of the owner, not fully socialized. Once they came into our rescue, our foster homes have been working patiently with the dogs to make sure they are comfortable with people.

Savannah is still learning to warm up to people, but can be very affectionate once you have gained her trust. Savannah is very active and loves playing with other dogs. She is still learning to be crated but can be trusted outside of a crate. She is learning to walk on a leash.

We require the adoptive family to have a physical fence at least 5 ft high, no children under the age of 6, and patience to continue the socialization process. We will help with training.

To obtain further information, please complete our online application found on our main website at www.midatlanticbassets.com. Once you receive your confirmation email, please forward a copy of that email to adopt4paws@yahoo.com.

We will call you for an initial phone interview. Successful candidates will then be requested to set up a home visit.
