Satine's Story
Satine is a little lady with a big personality. This 6-year-old, 17-pound girl was originally found as a stray and ended up at a local shelter. While there, she was labeled rescue-only after she became a little spicy during her vet exam (honestly, can anyone blame her? Being poked and prodded by strangers is not exactly on most dogs' bucket lists!)

We knew this girl deserved a chance, so we rushed to bring her into rescue. When Satine first arrived, she was also battling kennel cough, but thankfully she's feeling much better now and has been able to show us who she really is.

And who is Satine? A diva. A cuddle bug. A little bit of sass wrapped up in a very cute pug package.

Satine definitely likes things her way. She enjoys attention, comfy beds, and toys, and she would much rather be the star of the show than share the spotlight. She can do okay with other dogs, but she would likely thrive most as the only dog in the home or with a calm, easygoing canine friend who doesn't mind letting her have her moment.

Satine recently became a one-eyed wonder after losing one of her eyes. But Satine has adapted incredibly well to her new pirate-pug lifestyle. She gets around, plays, explores, and does all the important pug things just fine. Her remaining eye is healthy, and she doesn't let being a little different slow her down.

Where Satine really shines is with her people. She absolutely loves human attention and is happiest when she's close to someone she trusts. Give her a cozy spot, some affection, and a person who thinks she's as special as she is, and she's a happy girl. Satine is looking for someone who appreciates a little personality, a little sass, and a whole lot of love! Interested in this sweet little pirate pug? Please inquire today!
