Sassy Zanna's Story

Sassy Zanna is a soon to be 3 year old standard Black Tri Australian Shepherd.

Zanna is true to her breed. Shes super smart. Needs an active home thats going to challenge her brain as well as her physical needs. A home with a runner, hiker, someone willing to do dog sports etc would be an ideal home for her. She needs more than a short daily walk. Daily training, even in short bits, would make her happy.

Zanna loves her person and fits the term Velcro Aussie.

Sassy Zanna has lived with both male and female dogs. She can be true to her nature and be a bit bossy so she will need a companion who will be tolerant of her desire to be in charge at times. Zanna would do best with dogs of similar size, age and energy.

Zanna has gotten a little heavier than ideal and would do best in a home that will mange measured feedings for her and help her get her trim figure back.
Feeding her separately so she only gets her portions will be important. Special treats like bones and chews would be best when she can have her own space to enjoy them.

Sassy Zanna has shown she can be good with cats, farm animals, chickens, Guinea, and turkeys.

Sassy Zanna is spayed, microchipped, current on vaccines and on heartworm and flea tick prevention.

Thanks for your interest in our adoptable dogs. All of our dogs are in private foster homes and therefore require an approved adoption application prior to setting up a meet and greet. You may fill out our adoption application by clicking the link below. https://www.millerscause.org/requirements We do allow out of state adoptions however transport is limited and many of our dogs require in person meet and greets. Please read each bio carefully as most dogs do require a fenced in yard, another doggy playmate, or cannot be placed in a home with children.
