Meet Sassy! She is a two-year-old husky/lab mix. She has stunning eyes that win you over with just one look! Sassy is dog and cat friendly. She's only 41 pounds, so she's the perfect sized dog! Sassy is high-energy by nature and would thrive in a home that allows her to exercise (fenced yard or regular walks). She'd also love to be your hiking buddy. Sassy does prefer female humans but can be slowly introduced to men. Small children do make Sassy nervous, so she would prefer a home with older children or with adults only. Fayette County Animal Shelter's Adoption Policy

Those interested in adoption have the option to visit us in person or to view our animals online. Once the potential finds an animal that interests them, whether after meeting in person or online, they will complete an adoption application. The adoption application is then screened by one of our adoption counselors. If approved, we will coordinate an appointment for adoption (usually same day). If not approved, we will work with the applicant to see if there is anything we can do to assist in getting them approved before turning them away. Adopters will pay a set adoption fee. In return, they will adopt their new furry friend and will go home with medical records, a copy of the adoption contract, an adoption packet, and our contact info should they ever need anything.
