Sassy's Story
Sassy is a beautiful 65 pound, 8-year-old girl. She is healthy and in beautiful condition. Sassy’s coat is like silk! She may be primarily Flat Coated Retriever mix. Sassy is crate trained, although she doesn't need one. She is perfectly happy and content on her cozy dog bed. Sassy is very well- behaved when home alone; she will wait patiently for her family to come back, with no issues.

Sassy's favorite past times are long walks and playing catch with her family. She has always loved being around people, snuggling with the adults and being outside. Sassy is not a fan of other dogs and has never been around cats, so a no animal home is best for her.

So why is this beautiful, perfect girl looking for a new home? Sadly, Sassy is having a hard time with a new addition to her family that she has been with for the past 4 years. The new baby along with the increased hustle and bustle of the household, with many guests in and out is making Sassy anxious. She really needs a quieter laid-back home with less activity and no small children.

Sassy’s family is very sad to have had to make this decision. They have worked with their vet to find a solution that allows Sassy to remain in her home. They have tried medication to help, but Sassy just has not been able to acclimate to the "new" household she finds herself in.

Who wants to be this sweet lady's hero?

Sassy will be fostered in RI and will be available for adoption soon! Please consider giving her a chance!

If you are interested in Sassy and are an approved adopter, please contact your Adoption Coordinator to be added to Sassy’s list.
