Sassy's Story
Meet Sassy! Sassy is approximately 1 year old, 16 lb currently, and she may have some Chihuahua in her mix! In her foster home, she is working hard on her house training, crate-training, and leash walking. She could join households with teens and possibly other dogs. No cats please!

Sassy can be pretty shy at first and will take a few days to warm up. She still startles at loud noises and is best suited for a quiet, low traffic home.

Her foster says, "Sassy is an incredibly sweet girl who just needs a little time to feel comfortable with new people. Once she trusts you, she’ll become your little shadow, following you around the house and happily soaking up all the love and
cuddles you have to give! She knows how to sit and loves to play, run around, and show off her playful personality.

She would benefit from continued training, especially with potty training and leash reactivity, as she can bark when she sees other dogs on walks. With patience, consistency, and positive reinforcement, she has so much potential to keep growing and learning. Sassy is a loving, affectionate girl who wants to bond with her person and be part of a family.

She’s looking for someone who will give her the time, understanding, and love she deserves. In return, you’ll have a loyal little shadow and a sweet companion to share life’s adventures with!"

She is available for adoption in Leominster, MA by appointment with an approved adopter.
