Sasquatch – Big Heart, Gentle Soul Sasquatch is a handsome Great Dane and German Shepherd mix with a calm, gentle spirit. He’s a little shy at first, but once he trusts you, he’s all love. This big guy weighs a little over 80 pounds and stands tall—there’s no mistaking that Great Dane in him! He enjoys attention, loves to play fetch, and does well with his brother, Buddy. While they’re close, Sasquatch could do fine on his own too. In a perfect world, they’d find a home together, and we’d offer a special two-for-one adoption deal. Sasquatch is neutered, up to date on vaccinations, and fully recovered from bladder stone surgery. He’s healthy, strong, and ready for his forever home. His ideal home would have plenty of space to run and play safely away from roads. If you’re looking for a loyal, loving companion, Sasquatch might be the perfect fit. Izard County Animal Rescue Effort (ICARE)'s Adoption Policy

1. Complete an Application We want every pet to find a true forever home, so we match based on long-term fit, not first-come. Please complete the application at www.icarearkansas.com/application . Our Adoption Committee reviews it, calls you, and walks through any questions. We talk about daily care, exercise, vet visits, and how your current pets and family may adjust. If you rent, we confirm pet approval with your landlord. We also contact your two personal references and your vet. If you don’t have a vet yet, we’ll just make sure we’re on the same page about ongoing medical care. 2. Meet the Pet(s) Once you’re approved, we’ll set up a time for you to meet the pet(s) you’re interested in. We suggest everyone in your home attend if possible so you can see how the pet fits with your family. 3. Pay the Fee and Sign the Contract When you pick your new family member, you’ll meet with our adoption coordinator to pay the fee and sign the contract. We’ll answer any last questions so you feel ready and excited. 4. Pick Up Your New Pet Pick-up day is a happy day. For dogs, please bring a collar, leash, and harness so the trip home is safe and calm. We’ll send you home with the pet’s medical records and anything else you need to get started.
