When she first meets a new environment and new people, Sasha is a bit timid. For the first week at her foster, she was more excited to see her 4-legged siblings than her human family. After a few days of learning the routine in her foster home, she’s now part of the household and loving it.

Once she bonds with her human, Sasha is the epitome of being flexible with new situations and surroundings. She is great with kids (foster home has two, ages 10 and 12) as well as with dogs (3 at her current foster home).

A normal day for Sasha includes playing with her doggie foster siblings with lots of zoomies and wrestling. She still has the young puppy energy with the associated crash outs afterwards! Sasha loves her crate and is fully crate trained. She goes in voluntarily as well as on command. This is her safe place and also where she sleeps at night. Sasha loves her walks and does great on leash. Meeting other dogs in public is not a problem! No reactivity whatsoever. Do you want a dog you can take into public who will be a good citizen and not cause ruckus? Sasha is the dog for you!

This weekend, her foster mom took her to the beach and she was in heaven. She met a dozen other dogs while both on and off leash. Sasha was friendly with all dogs - even when they stole her ball! Sasha played off leash for hours, staying close to her mom while also (literally) frolicking in the waves. Check out her video! Oh did we mention she is an expert fetcher?? Sasha loves her ball and could keep herself occupied for an hour tossing the ball to herself.

Despite her rough start, Sasha deserves an amazing family. She could be a solo pup or could also join as a 2nd or 3rd dog for your family. She is perfect size - small build, 30 pounds. Great with kids and adults as long as everyone gives her a minute to warm up and feel secure.

$250 adoption donation includes spay, vaccines and microchip

Currently fostered in Davis, CA.

Interested in adopting?
1. Please complete our online form at heartsforpawsrescue.com/adoption-application
2. We will respond in 1-3 days for a call!
3.
