Sasha's Story
ID 60748486
Meet Sasha — a 6-year-old sweetheart who has quickly become one of the volunteers’ favorite dogs. At around 50 pounds, Sasha is the perfect medium-sized companion with an easygoing personality and just the right mix of adventure buddy and couch companion.

Sasha came to the shelter after getting lost and, sadly, was never reclaimed by her owner. Despite that, she has settled beautifully into foster care and has shown everyone what a wonderful dog she is. She’s affectionate, gentle with people of all ages, and happiest just being near her humans.

She has a lovely medium energy level — content to relax quietly at home, but also happy to join you for a 2-mile walk or longer if that’s your thing. Sasha walks nicely on leash overall, though squirrels are still very exciting in her opinion. She knows several basic commands, is housebroken, crate trained, and has done wonderfully in her foster home.

Sasha has successfully passed her assessment with large dogs. She can be uncomfortable with overly chaotic dogs getting in her face, so respectful introductions and appropriate matches are important. In her previous home, she also lived successfully with smaller dogs around 20 pounds. As always, proper supervision and slow introductions are recommended.

Sasha should not live with cats due to her strong prey drive.

You may notice Sasha has a slight droopiness to one of her eyes. The cause is unknown, but it does not appear to bother her or affect her quality of life at all.

If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate dog with a calm heart and a fun side, Sasha may be your perfect match.

Please reach out with interest to agramza74@gmail.com to learn more about Sasha.
