Sarie's Story
Meet Sarie!

Hi! I'm Sarie, and I'm your future best friend wrapped in fur. 🐾

I LOVE people! Big people, little people, everyone. If you have hands, I assume they're meant for petting me, and if you sit down, I take it as an invitation to curl up in your lap.

I'm also a pretty fun girl to have around. I have been told I'm hilarious (and honestly, I agree). I love all kinds of toys, especially tennis balls. I enjoy a good game of fetch and proudly carry my ball around wherever I go. I am also perfectly happy entertaining myself by nibbling on a Kong toy while hanging out nearby. One of my special talents is locating and removing the squeakers from plush toys. Recently, my favorite game has been tug-of-war. Just dangle one end of a tug rope, and I will make sure you get a great arm workout! If you are looking to get active this summer, I take my personal trainer duties very seriously.

I'm an outgoing girl who loves neighborhood adventures. The moment my foster parents put on their dog-walking shoes, I start wiggling with excitement and try my best to get into my harness first. I'm still working on my leash skills and do especially well when walked on my own. I also looove brisk walks and even slow jogs. If you are looking for an exercise buddy, I am definitely your gal!

When it comes to other dogs, I do very well and enjoy having canine friends. At the shelter, I shared kennels with several female dogs, and in my foster home I currently live with a 90-pound, 6-year-old male dog and an agile 2-year-old female dog. They have very different play styles, but I get along great with both of them. Want to see me in action? Check out my videos on my foster family Instagram page (@terrificbroth) or Facebook page (Alison Xie).

Now, I should probably be honest about one thing: crates are not exactly my favorite. I also don't love being confined by myself. My foster family has been helping me build positive associations with my crate by feeding me in it and keeping it in the home office of my foster mom. I've made great progress and now happily nap in my crate while she works at her desk. That said, given the choice, I'd much rather snooze next to my foster dog siblings in the living room.

My dream home would be an active one with someone who wants a true sidekick, a dog who wants to be part of everything and join you on adventures. More than anything, I just love my humans. I want to be near you, spend time with you, make you laugh, and maybe steal your attention (and a few toys) whenever possible.

If you are looking for a loyal companion, a goofy best friend, and a girl who will love you with her whole heart, that's me. ❤️

Interested in learning more about Sarie?
