Sarge is a laidback guy who enjoys spending his days lounging around. He loves to be outside, whether its observing the birds in the trees, napping in the sun, or exploring on a walk. In fact, hes a pretty easy walker on the leash, making him a great partner for hikes, trips to the park, and LOVES a car ride! Not much phases Sarge. Hes a huge teddy bear! While he is not a lap dog, he does enjoy the company of his human and being near them. Sarge is dog, cat, and bird friendly. Sarge is a sensitive guy who may have a little bit of separation anxiety in the beginning while learning to be comfortable in a new home. However he warms up quickly. Texas Great Pyrenees Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

In processing an application, we contact veterinarians to verify that all current pets are up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered. Dogs should be current on heartworm testing and taking a monthly heartworm preventative. Please let your vet know that we will be calling as they sometimes require your permission to provide the needed information. We will also be contacting personal references. Please let them know that we will be calling so they are not taken by surprise. If you rent your home or apartment, please alert your landlord that we will be calling to make sure large dogs are allowed there. When all references have been checked, we will then schedule a house check. This is where one of our volunteers will visit your home to meet you in person and to see the environment you will be providing. Once your application is approved, you are invited to meet any of our available dogs and to speak with any of our fosters about a particular dog.
