She showed up with nothing... but hope.
Two weeks ago in Lanett, this sweet girl appeared at a home quietly begging for help.
She was skinny, dehydrated, starving, and covered in wounds.
Her tail had been horribly injured.
Her ear was torn.
Puncture wounds covered her face and neck.
She had clearly been through more than any dog should ever have to endure.
But when we arrived to pick her up... something incredible happened.
She ran straight toward us.
Her little tail tried its best to wag as she showered us with kisses - like she had been waiting for someone to finally care.
After everything she had been through... she still trusted people.
We named her SaraBell.

At Animal Care Center, SaraBell had surgery to amputate her badly injured tail. While she was under anesthesia she was also spayed, vaccinated, microchipped, dewormed, and fully vetted so she could finally start fresh.
She is heartworm positive, but she is already healing beautifully. Her wounds are closing, her fur is growing back, and her sweet personality is shining brighter every day.
And despite everything she endured...
SaraBell is one of the most loving dogs you will ever meet.
Now she's ready for the one thing she has never truly had:
