Saphire's Story

Meet Sapphy (short for Saphire)!
2 years old | ~60 lbs | Northern Virginia (Foster Home)

Hi! I’m Sapphy — yes, like the gemstone! Since settling into my foster home, I’ve been getting the time I need to relax and decompress. My foster mom thinks I’m adorable on walks because I “sound like a little piggy sniffing for truffles.” I have no idea what truffles are, but sniffing is my favorite hobby, so I’ll take the compliment.

Once I decide you’re trustworthy, my playful, goofy side comes out. I can still be a bit mouthy and over-the-top (hey, I’m basically a big puppy too!), so for now I’d do best in a home without small children.

A few bragging rights:

Zero accidents in my crate

Zero accidents in my crate since arriving

Love exploring and sniffing everything

Gorgeous, loyal, resilient girl with a whole lot of love to give

Learning manners and boundaries with my foster mom’s help

If you’re patient, loving, and ready to help a survivor blossom, I could be your new best friend forever.
