Santino

Santino was found dumped in the ninth ward. He wasn't claimed. We pulled him after his stray hold. He aspirated after his neuter. He got very sick with pneumonia. He spent time at LSU. He is sadly heartworm positive. He is on doxycycline to prepare for heartworm treatment. He is neutered & microchipped. He's up to date on vaccinations, heartworm and flea prevention. He had a negative fecal. He's had numerous exams. He is 70 lbs. He's very tall. He should be 80+.<br/><br/>He is a little shy with new people. He warms up quickly especially with treats. We brought him to a local bar and he went up to everyone for pets. He loves all dogs. He plays rough. He doesn't know to stop though. They'll growl to say stop and he doesn't get it. He prefers to be free in the house. He's not destructive. My foster recently ate the couch. Santino watched from a distance and did not participate. He will go in the crate but licks hos feet. He's great on the leash. He gets excited when he sees the leash. He's getting more comfortable in the car with more exposure. He's been around outside cats without an issue. He's seriously an amazing dog.
