Sangria's Story

Sangria is a 5.5-month-old, 36-pound Shepherd mix with a personality as bold and bright as her name. Just like the drink, she’s a party in a bottle, full of energy that can go all day. She has the funniest ears that lay on top of her head and come to a point together, giving her a permanently adorable, slightly mischievous look. She has sprouted up like a weed since she was a baby, growing fast just like her energy level.

There is nothing shy about this girl—she’s confident, social, and already helping more timid dogs come out of their shells just by being her friendly, outgoing self. She is very playful and goofy and will absolutely make you laugh with all the questionable and silly things she does. She loves to romp around and play with other dogs and is very toy motivated, especially enjoying balls, hard toys, and a good game of fetch.

Sangria is affectionate and people-oriented as well. She is more cuddly and easygoing compared to some of her siblings and really appreciates the little moments of attention and connection with her people. She rolls over for belly rubs, enjoys a good pet on the head, and will give a sweet lick to show her affection. She will sometimes jump up out of excitement, but she responds well to correction and is eager to please.

She is doing well on leash but still needs a bit of continued work and guidance. Sangria can play a bit rough with her dog friends, but she is submissive and respectful toward humans, always waiting for your attention and direction. She is learning commands like sit and lay down and will continue to master them with consistency and practice.

Sangria enjoys laying in the shade and will happily curl up next to you after playtime. She is goofy, funny, and full of life, and like all of our dogs, she just needs love, structure, and patience to truly flourish into the amazing companion she is meant to be.

Sangria is spayed, up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations, and microchipped.

**Please note: completing an "adoption inquiry" via Adopt-a-pet/Petfinder does not constitute an HFG Dog Rescue adoption application.
