Sanford's Story

**WE ARE ALWAYS IN NEED OF FOSTER HOMES** Homeward Bound Dog Rescue is an all volunteer rescue organization and all our dogs and puppies are in foster homes - we are not a shelter and do NOT have a facility where we house our dogs. For adoption information go to: www.homewardbounddogrescue.com. You must fill out an application online as we do NOT accept applications at our clinics.

Meet Sandford! He’s 4 months old & 26 lbs. He’s a German Shepherd (50%) Great Pyrenees (24%) and Golden Retriever (21%) mix per his littermates DNA results. He’s going to be a large sized dog despite the fact that he’s the runt!

Sandford is a little dopey and super sweet. He gets along with everyone he meets. He needs a family with a nice fenced yard or lots of land. Apartment life wouldn’t be a good fit. He’s crate trained and potty trained.

Sandford’s personality can be described as “just happy to be here.” He doesn’t put up much of a fuss about anything! He loves to play hard and sleep hard.

If you would like to add this big fluffy dope into your family, apply today!

Our adoption clinics are held one Saturday a month at our facility in Schenectady on John Street, located directly behind Boulevard Bowl (Erie Boulevard) from 10 am to 12 pm (directions are on our website). We require an approved application before we consider anyone for an adoption - so filling out the application is your first step. Once your application has been reviewed, you will receive an email invitation to attend an adoption event. Different dogs and puppies go up for adoption EVERY WEEK so please feel free to visit the site and click on the Petfinder link for updates as we are adopting dogs out in between adoption events. Puppies and dogs up to 2 years old are $395. Dogs over 2 years old are $295. 100% of the adoption fees go to help us save more dogs.
