Sandy's Story
WELCOME TO CAMP COCKER RESCUE, SANDY!

*Sandy is being fostered in Los Angeles County

Sandy was rescued on 8/2/25, from the Animal Resource Center in Ontario, California, with three puppies (one female and two males) in tow! Mama & puppies had just been surrendered. The call was urgent! At the time of their rescue, the puppies were just a a couple of days old with an estimated DOB as 7/31/25! (After thriving at Camp Cocker Rescue for their first few months of life, the puppies have all been adopted and are now living their best lives!)

Sandy is very sweet! She’s trusting, not guarding, and let us handle the puppies. At 15 lbs, she appears to be normal weight, Her age estimate* is 4-7 years old.

Sandy is affectionate, friendly, and playful! She will thrive in a home with a dog or two & a fenced yard. She’ll do well in a home with active adults who can provide her with exercise and mental stimulation.

Sandy is also an escape artist who can easily manage slipping through a crack in the door, and jumping over kiddie gates and low fences. She should not be in a home with children who may not be able to moniter her to prevent her from escape.

Sandy is a high-jumper, and super fast, with a strong prey drive – which also means no cats, and no off-leash walks! Good dog-proofing around entrances and exits is a must, because when she wants to run after something, she is determined!

*Please note that any age provided is only an estimate, based on veterinary examination.

Stay tuned for many updates to follow on Sandy & Puppies on their webpages at: www/campcocker.com/sandy and www.campcocker.com/sandys-puppies - and on Facebook & Instagram

Sandy is now available for adoption > www.campcocker.com/adoptionprocess
